our first look at you! *entry for lil AJ*

Yesterday, Dr. Zunita ( a very very very nice lady OB-GYN! makes mommy comfortable :) ) showed you to mommy and daddy. I was so happy to finally see you! so was daddy! We were so happy to see your heart beating so fast! that means you're one healthy baby!

Mommy knows that mommy's friends are dying to see you too, so mommy's going to share your first scan picture with them. Aunties, meet my lil A.J:

As mommy updated in my last entry, Dr. Zunita calculated a new birth date for you. in fact, two new birth dates. if mommy's memory serves me right on the exact first day mommy had my last period, then i will see you on December 2nd, 2011. that's a day after Aunty mimie's birthday! another date is December 7th, 2011 which was calculated based on your current size. anyway, you come out from mommy whenever you are really ready, okay! you be safe in there. mommy and daddy will make sure that you are.

mommy and daddy loves you so much, AJ. we'll see you again soon, okay!

i love you a lot with all my life, (and so is daddy)

i will see you today!

i'm seeing A.J the first time today. i have an appointment with my OB-GYN Dr. Zunita today at 6pm.

Excited? extremely. i can't wait to see that little fetus in my abdomen.So is A.J's daddy.

owh. A.J is my unborn child's initials. :) and yes we have thought of what we will name him or her once we welcomed him or her into this world in november.

i was at my worst last week, i suffered from a terrible diarrhea and vomiting. funny when it all began after i took my first anmum materna. it seemed that i cannot tolerate with formula milk. i tried mamil mama a week ago and i got diarrhea. i was never a lactose intolerant so i find this very very funny. i don't really like the after taste of fresh milk so i am still going to try anmum materna again but this time i will take 2 scoops on every other day only (as advised by my OB-GYN) instead of 4 scoops twice a day according to the box. yes i am so by the book now that i am pregnant. maybe it's the hormone, or maybe i am such a control freak.

my baby daddy's craving for food is so wild these days. yesterday he craved for homemade burger, the kind that Robert Rainford would make in his License To Grill episodes. which we took the time to make, and we nailed it. the taste was incredible better-than-Chili's-or-the-like-comma-I-swear-to-God. it felt like we just died and went to burger heaven. and days before, it was cupcakes, (he drooled while watching DC cupcakes on TLC, it was that bad! so we went to Pavilion to get our version of DC cupcakes from Cupcake Chic!), and some other food we saw on AFC and TLC.

my morning sickness is slowing down, maybe it's because i'm nearing the end of my first trimester.i eat less but frequent now, so i hope it's a good thing, and i hope my unborn child gets all the nutritions it needs. mommy never fails taking Folic Acid and Calcium and it's all for you my baby!

A.J is 8 weeks and 6 days old today, only 218 days to go. at 8 weeks, this is how big A.J is in my belly (if you don't know already. Other mommies can skip this knowledge sharing session, :) )

Congratulations - your embryo is now called a fetus, which means "offspring". Your uterus expands to accommodate its new resident, which now measures approximately 0.6 inch / 1.6 centimetres. Many changes take place this week - the embryonic tail is gone, and all organs, muscles, and nerves are beginning to function. The hands now bend at the wrist, and the feet begin to lose their webbed appearance. Eyelids are beginning to cover the eyes.

Your pregnancy is changing your figure as well. Your breasts may have grown large enough that you'll need bigger bras with better support than your old ones. You may notice your waistline expanding as well, forcing you to pack away your favourite jeans until next year. If you drink plenty of fluoridated water - eight glasses or more a day - you should be getting enough fluoride so calcium and phosphorus will bond well in your baby's developing teeth and bones.

that's all for today folks! i'll update again after the check up today. stay SWEET always!

**update**
from my check up, Dr. Zunita had calculated a new due date for AJ, if according to my period cycle, the EDD is December 2nd, 2011 and if according to AJ's size, EDD is December 7th, 2011. Scan image? Mommy will post in the next entry!

love from A.J's mommy;

we're baking!

facebook friends must have gotten this news already for i have updated the result from my second urine pregnancy test.

so yes, it's official and confirmed by my GP, Dr. Roselinda Arehli that i am baking! been baking for 7 weeks now for that matter. :)

i was so sick last thursday but i told my GP that i might be pregnant. so she didn't want to prescribe me some random medications if i am pregnant and we tested.

i am so excited, jay said we wouldn't know if we didn't try. so BAM.. tried and nailed it.

i am coping with morning sickness now (more like all day sickness, so it seems) and jay has been doing a great job coping with me! i have never seen him as excited as this before!

it's like heaven on earth, seeing him trying to bond with our unborn child. he wants our baby to know that " you may be inside mummy now, but daddy is always here too with you and mummy" . i melted. i couldn't stop smiling. i have a permanent smile on my face now. wearing it all day. :D

he has these "secret moments" where he'd whisper to my belly and tell our baby about stuffs. like "do you like what mummy ate just now?" and then he added " i know.. daddy didn't like what mummy ate either!" (i had pengat durian, just a lil bit though. i promised my sister i won't take much of it). and constantly updating our baby on what we're watching on tv.

i am now collecting Doas that i can recite everyday after prayers, and also tips about eating right. i mean like what i should avoid and such. if you experienced ladies have any pointers. please do share with this first time mummy to be!

but the funny thing is, i don't eat as much as i did before i was pregnant. i don't get hungry as often as i did before i was pregnant. cepat mengah. that's one thing. and owh, i haven't experience any weird cravings, yet. owh but jay has!

thank you to friends who have wished me, may the Al-Mighty repay all your good thoughts.

so okay, it's lunch time, can't skip anymore now that i am eating for two... hahahaha

p/s: i heard somebody tested and got a faint line too? Suya, have you got news for me? :D

lots of love from the ecstatic cupcake baker a.k.a mummy to be;
